Style- Dramatic

Some advertisements such as Skyrim use dramatic style to keep the audience in suspense which helps to persuade you to buy the product. Skyrim is aimed at 18 and over so is quite dramatic and intresting so it can be aimed at older audience. At first you do not know whether the advert is advertising a film or video game and starts off with a kid seeing something and running away scared which makes you wonder what he could of seen the he suddenly runs into the village and other villagers are seen looking up at the sky in shock and scared. It has a old setting without many modern stuff suggesting it is set in a middle ages theme. As the advert goes on all the villagers start running terrified but one knight dressed in armour is seen stood still not running looking prepared for whatever the thing is and withdrawing his sword as if he is getting ready to fight. At the end of he walks up to the creature which is a dragon and cuts out and shows you that the advert is a video game. This is a very good advert for drama because it has suspense making you think what this thing could be that everyones scared off then a knight in armour getting prepared for a fight. This appeals to a older audience of teenage boys over 16 because it gives the game a sense of action and drama because of the advert.
