Style- Humourous

Some Adverts use comedy to make the adverts memorable and persuade people to buy the product. One of the most memorable sets of adverts are the ones with Peter Kay in the John Smiths adverts in which a well known comedian is used which makes the advert iconic. This type of advert had the 'no nonesense' slogan in it trying to convince that they take making the beer seriously and the comedy making drinking look fun and suggest it can be a laugh drinking. It has the slogan 'no nonsense' because the beer is appealing to working class men and basically saying we don't want any fancy stuff we just want a drink after a hards day work. In one of the adverts someone is doing fancy kick ups and showing off and Peter Kay just kicks the ball away to show that working class people don't want all fancy stuff they just want a break after a hard day work. Peter Kay is also a comedian who speaks about every day stuff and turns it into comedy this is also why it appeals to these type of people.
